Hull City Council's music service is welcoming some special guests on Friday (5 February) to showcase their outstanding achievements after winning the prestigious Major Trophy from the National Music Council of Great Britain (NMC).

Local MP Diana Johnson and John Witchell, chief executive of the Federation of Music Services, are visiting the Albemarle Music Centre to witness the award winning service for themselves.

Pupils from Tweendykes Special School will give an exclusive performance on the Indonesian gamelan to show the range of opportunities available through the music service. The senior percussion ensemble will also be holding an open rehearsal for the guests to observe.
