Guildhall Silversmiths Exhibition

This exciting new exhibition has been organised by members of the Guild of Hull Silversmiths in conjunction with The Treasure House.

The guild was formed by Derrick Grady in 1976 with fourteen other founder members. Apprentice trained silversmith and Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths, Derrick's purpose was to pass on the skills of the master-craftsman to fuThis exciting new exhibtion has been organised by ture generations.

The exhibition covers the guild's history together with their working methods. The time honoured practice of working with silver is explained in detail through a mixture of exciting images and objects.

A member of the guild will be on hand every Saturday 11 am to 1pm throughout the exhibition period to explain their craft.

The exhibition runs in the Treasure House, Beverley, from 12 February to 10 April.
