The I Love Rotherham campaign is being launched this month by the South Yorkshire Community Foundation (SYCF), and presents generous local people, businesses and other organisations with a once-in-a-lifetime chance to double the impact of their donations.

Rotherham United FC, Rotherham Titans Rugby Club, the Chamber of Commerce, HSBC Bank, Parkgate Shopping, the NHS and local councillors are among those backing the scheme, which means that all funds raised locally will be matched pound for pound by the government.

“The match funding available presents a fabulous incentive for everyone to get involved,” said Paul Bennington of the SYCF.
“The I Love Rotherham celebration day on February 12 is a great chance to get the ball rolling, but the campaign will run for much longer, so no-one should miss out.”

Organisations are also pledging to change their search engines to www. everyclick.com/rotherham.

Every time an Internet search is made through this site, it automatically raises money for local causes in Rotherham, without the searcher having to spend a penny themselves.
“It costs nothing to take part, as the money raised for local causes comes straight from Everyclick’s advertising revenue,” said Paul.
