Five new mobile CCTV cameras will be deployed in Rother Valley West following funding from the Rother Valley West devolved budget. Three of the cameras have been allocated to Thurcroft and the other two cameras will be used throughout the surrounding areas.

The locations for the cameras have been identified as trouble hotspots by local residents, Safer Neighbourhood teams and through Rother Valley West PACT (Partners and Communities Together) meetings.

The CCTV Steering Group has agreed on five initial locations for the cameras:
Thurcroft cameras
  • Camera 1 – Opposite the Gordon Bennett Memorial Hall
  • Camera 2 – Thurcroft Welfare Community Hall/Christian Fellowship Church, Katherine Road
  • Camera 3 – Green Arbour Road/ Sandy Lane junction
Area-wide cameras
  • Camera 1 – Townend Shopping Centre, Aston
  • Camera 2 – Whitehill Road, Brinsworth in the vicinity of Duncan Street.
If you know of an area in your community that may benefit from a mobile CCTV camera please contact the Rother Valley West Area Assembly team for a referral form on 01709 702897 or download a form at rothervalley.
